And what is mind
And how is it recognized?
If I clearly draw
In sumi ink, the sound
Of breezes drifting through pine
Is all that is seen.

Atma Vicara: Nonduality, Advaita

Atma-Vicara, a Texas Non-Profit Corporation, nurtures the community of spiritual seekers who pursue the discovery of Absolute Truth through direct Self inquiry. It acts as a repository, aggregating published material and resources of awakened teachers.
It assists in the distribution and dissemination of Truth. It offers a haven for the assembly of people who listen to, talk about, and assimilate Truth.
Self inquiry, meditation and nondual teachings are practiced.
Advaita Vedanta, literally translated as the doctrine of nonduality, is a sub school of the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta. Its core principles and teachings are referred to as a monistic system of thought. The canonical texts include the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahman Sutras.

The first organized condensation of Advaitic theosophy is credited to Adi Shankara, also known as Sankara Bhagavatpadacarya, around the eighth century AD. It is a successful reconciliation of orthodox thought and Buddhism. The writings of recent sages (Atmananda Krishna Menon, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi) as well as the work of contemporary teachers including Eckhart Tolle and Adyashanti are used. The Advaita texts of Shankara (Atma Bodha, Tattva Bodha, Vivekachudamani) and traditional Vedanta scripture (Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Brahma Sutras) are offered. Various contemporary teachers visit the group regularly to share insight into the achievement of limitless, non dual awareness and teachings from others are offered.
Visiting teachers trained in traditional Vedanta scripture teach at meetings from time to time. Comtemporary teachers, who have studied under Indian and Western Gurus share their knowledge through onsite visits.
